FACT OF THE DAY: The term Pfeilstorch (German for “arrow stork”) refers to a stork that returns to Europe after wintering in Africa with an arrow stuck in its body. 25 Pfeilstorches have been recorded in history; the earliest, captured in 1822, helped to prove that birds migrate to other regions during the winter, rather than (as was believed) turn into other animals or hibernate at the bottom of the ocean.

Kevin’s been making stuff up for 40 years, 17 of them as a part of the Austin improv community. He teaches at Merlin Works. He runs the AIC Facebook group and nightly theater listings.
