FACT OF THE DAY: In Halberstadt, Germany, the pipe organ at St. Burchardi’s church is playing a song titled Organ²/ASLSP by avant-garde composer John Cage. Cage wrote the song with the tempo instruction to play it “as slow as possible.” With note changes happening every few years, the performance began on September 5, 2001 and is scheduled to conclude on September 5, 2640.
