FACT OF THE DAY: The largest pyramid in the world is the Great Pyramid of Cholula in southern Mexico, which was gradually built over 1000 years from the 3rd century BC through the 9th century AD. Though only 66 meters tall, its base is approximately 450 meters on a side, giving it double the volume of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The pyramid is today mostly overgrown, with a Catholic church built on top in the 16th century.
