Tonight in Austin Improv: Tuesday, June 16

FACT OF THE DAY: In July 1959, Marine pilot William Rankin was forced to bail out of his fighter jet while flying 40,000 feet over North Carolina, directly above a thunderstorm. Rankin’s parachute deployed as he fell through the thundercloud, and the drafts of air tossed him up and down inside the cloud for 40 minutes before he finally emerged from the bottom and landed safely in a tree. Rankin is the only person to ever spend so long inside a thunderstorm.
